Help and Technical Support

If you experience problems while using the interactive map, please take the following steps:

  1. Check the IT Notices" for news regarding scheduled maintenance or unplanned outages.
  2. Check that you are using Microsoft's Internet Explorer 5.0 (or higher), with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 or larger. Other Web browsers (such as Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Netscape-compatible browsers) may cause various errors while accessing the interactive map.
  3. Try clearing the cache of your Web browser: Tools > Internet Options > Browsing History "Delete" > Delete "Temporary Internet Files."
  4. Disable all pop-up blockers. The pop-up blocker for Internet Explorer can be disabled by accessing the "Tools" menu item, as follows: Tools > Pop-up Blocker > Turn Off Pop-up Blocker. If you have any specialty web-based toolbars (such as toolbars installed from Yahoo, Google, MSN, or others), check to make sure that their associated pop-up blockers are also disabled.
  5. If you are receiving the error titled "Form for posting request not found," your organization may be using Novell BorderManager Proxy Server. A possible solution is provided in an ESRI Discussion Forum. The suggested solution is a two-line piece of code that is added to a file called "PROXY.CFG" (see the suggestion by Chad Hubich). You may need to contact an IT person in your organization if you do not know whether you have this firewall in place.
  6. Please contact us if you are still in need of assistance.
